Greetings from Corfu

Rachel has actually uploaded a post I hear you say! Yes, I am finally back with a blog post after about 8 months of going quiet. I do apologise! Life has certainly been rather busy after graduating University, but I could not be happier!

As summer came around, and with this ever lasting heat wave making an appearance, it was time to head off to Greece, and visit the Greek Island of Corfu. Greece is one of my favourite places ever, it feels like a second home and I am always excited to go back.

Of course when I went, the weather was not the best, let’s just say the UK got more sun then I did; something I thought I would never say. However, despite the weather, this holiday did not disappoint, from the amazing scenery, the nicest people and the beautiful food, it really is difficult to fault Greece.

When in Corfu, it only seemed right to go and explore Old Corfu Town. So off we went, booked a mini bus and headed off to visit the town in the evening. Old Corfu Town is wonderful to explore, with so many small streets and cute shops, you cannot get bored of walking round. With the sun going down, and the street lights coming on, it was a great time to visit the town and spend some quality time with the family.

With it being called Old Corfu Town, there is the Old Fortress which is a great see. You can visit the outside grounds for free and it provides great views of the town and even Albania. It is a great place to walk round and it is a fabulous place for pictures. A must see if you visit the town.

There is always so much to do and see when in Greece, and it was the perfect getaway from everyday life. From the wonderful scenery, to the cute Taverns, and the most amazing food and drink, Greece is the perfect place to relax and enjoy!

Greece will always have a special place in my heart, and I cannot wait to get back there one day.
